Who’s behind the sabotage?
Nobody knows who set the bomb that threatened the May trade on Saturday night, but fingers are being pointed at every faction in town. Some people are blaming the Orchard, others the Gearworkers, even the Craddock Society. Few are choosing to abstain from making allegations, instead causing chaos as the citizens all ask the big question: who wants Mercy Pointe gone?

Mayoral issues
Townsfolk have instated local DJ Smudge as a potential mayor of Mercy Pointe. This goes against the democratic election of the current mayor, Elias Tharen. Unfortunately for both, any accusation of mayoral duties seems to come with a price. Elias was shot and killed last month during the voyage on the Candle’s Flame. This month, Smudge was brutally cannibalized by zombies after a sudden horde attack. Coincidence? Maybe. But we suspect that being deemed “mayor” comes with a curse! Check back next month to see if another “mayor” falls victim.

Lover’s quarrel
While interviewing new arrivals in Mercy Pointe, I suddenly heard the siren sound of a story in the making. Two ex-lovers in argument, the town split on who was in the right. To my delight, I was able to interview one of the enraged exes, Thorn, and get the full scoop for you!
Thorn is a Diesel Jock who married Rosemary, a Natural One. As Nomads are wont to do, Thorn continued traveling on her bike. Note that her motorbike is also named Rosemary. In a rage, the living, breathing Rosemary shot at and damaged Thorn’s ride, in a bid to get Thorn to stay at the home that Rosemary built for the two of them. Unfortunately the two of them separated due to their disagreements.
When asked why, Thorn feels as though Rosemary does not understand her need to travel, while Rosemary may feel as though Thorn does not understand her want for a quiet home life as a couple. Needless to say, love is a battlefield and Mercy Pointe seems to have become the grounds for this war.
