Fallow Hopes hold the line
abandon all hope
local fallows make last stand
After a grueling day of preparations and politicking, Mercy Pointe faced one of their greatest threats yet-- an onslaught of Raiders. But as town was attacked, the militaristic faction of Hope’s Hand was nowhere to be seen! Rumors from locals state that the faction has been inciting violence in order to solve violence in town (see Secrets Revealed, pg. 1). Could this be why the faction decided to withhold help? When asked by reporters, Marigold Flowers stated she did not appreciate the insinuation, and multiple follies including this rumor may have contributed to their lack of presence.
Chaos ensued as trade-goers fought against the mass of Raiders, with reports of the shield line being backed into the med bay. Luckily, an escape tunnel was created and most were able to escape the carnage. Two Cult of the Fallow Hope members held the line to the end though, and paid the price for their heroism. One other death was reported, a local Iron slain in battle. We hope to get comments from these brave soldiers this coming trade.

Job board constructed
The local factions of Mercy Pointe will be utilizing a job board to offer potential work for the citizens and travelers of Mercy Pointe. Rewards will be given to those who complete tasks on the board, ranging from information and resource gathering to self care. Check out the board yourself in Public Works for more information on these opportunities!
Firestarters Find no kindling
Enraged “hospital workers” descended on Mercy Pointe, stating that they were attacked the previous trade. Trade-goers quickly dispatched them after finding a lighter in their pocket. Witnesses claim that the workers were Firestarters in disguise. The quick thinking of these townsfolk may have smothered any further flames that weekend.

Gearworkers Work Less
The Gearworkers have been revealed to vulture off Raider groups that attack settlements. Sources say they wait until the Raiders have destroyed the area before springing on the remaining scrap that the damaged and dead provide. How weaselly!
Not-So-Natural Orchard
The Orchard was discovered in a hidden lab, where they are attempting to make hardier, faster growing crops and domestic animals. Iffy, a Mercy Pointe local, attacked these scientists seemingly unprovoked. Wayfaring Strangers leader Jake Jimmy James struck back against him in defense-- turns out, the labs is WF sanctioned! Trade-goers were not given assistance from the Orchard later on.
Hope Hurts
Rumors say that Hope’s Hand are manufacturing problems in Mercy Pointe, so that they may swoop in and heroically solve them! Could the Raider attack at their training course be indictive of this? We’ll report back after their Battlement Day activities with any suspicious behavior.
