Get ready for a trade full of hard choices and your favorite-- zombies! We’re breaking down what to expect at DR:MI “Moral Compass,” so any surprises are simply part of the story, and you, the player, are not left in the dark.
Rewritten Clues
Throughout the event, players will get the opportunity to learn secrets both about the Rewritten and hints of when to expect mods where they appear. This can happen in three ways:
Module Participation: Participating in select mods will potentially give players information and hints at following encounters within the event.
Supply Caches: A couple of lockboxes may be found throughout the property that can contain information on the Rewritten and/or upcoming mods.
NOTE: If you like puzzles, ciphers, and/or riddles, this is the thing for you.
Intercepted Letters: Some mail may come through town via the mailbox, NPCs, or may be scattered on the property. While some may mean nothing, others may be clues as to what is to come.
Local World Map & Worldbuilding
For players who attended the July event, you may have checked out the War Map that was an important part of Battlement day. It featured a collection of settlement names scattered across a large map. Those settlements weren’t just for show, and are real areas within the county-wide lore of Dystopia Rising: Michigan!
This event will have players learning more about the settlements all around Mercy Pointe and the “Grand Tides” area. On top of this, players have the opportunity to learn more about the factions within Mercy Pointe. Just ask Face NPCs about their organization, and you may get some new information!
The Horde
Who’s a comin? Zeds a comin. The Grand Tides area is being struck by a seemingly endless horde. Expect a high amount of zed threats this game, culminating in a large horde pushing through Mercy Pointe!
Here’s the twist: you get to choose how strong it is.
The Choice
Players will have one major choice coming into this game that can affect not only the event’s storyline, but the season going forward. The choice?
What town will the horde hit?
Players will have to decide where the Horde moves in the Grand Tides area and which settlement will be in its path-- and will have to face the consequences afterwards.
Who will you choose?
